Jillian Rubman
is a portrait, event and travel photographer from Boston,
Massachusetts. She has eight years of photography experience in the
US and abroad, and is spending 2010-2012 photographing
Europe from home bases in Hungary and Spain.
In past years,
Jillian's work has been featured in exhibits in Concord, Dedham, and
Waltham, Massachusetts. Her photos appear in album art for the
band Soundscape Rebellion. In 2006 her portfolio of black-and-white
portraits earned a Mass College of Art Book Award as well as a Gold Key
in the Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards.
As a grant recipient in Brandeis
University's Bernstein Festival of the Arts, Jillian produced the
exhibition "Beautiful Bodies: History's Reshaping of the Ideal Female
Form" in 2008. This three-week exhibit used photography and
photo-manipulation to show the changeability of standards of female
beauty throughout history.
